Our School Pledge

Today, I will do my best! I will listen! I will follow directions! I will be responsible! I will respect the rights of others! I can learn! I will learn! You see, it is all up to me because I am a person of character!

 CLASS RULES

1.      Listen carefully.

2.     Follow directions.

3.     Work quietly.  Do not disturb others who are working.

4.     Respect others.  Be kind with your words and actions.

5.     Respect school and personal property.

6.     Work and play safely.

BEHAVIOR PLAN

All students start the day on "Ready to Learn". As students are observed making "Good Choices", they will be asked to magnet up.  If students continue to make good choices, they will be asked to magnet up to "Super Student".  Students that end the day on "Good Choices" or "Super Student" will get the choice of candy or a sticker at the end of the day.  They will also get a sticker on their behavior chart.  Once the chart has been filled, they will get a reward pick.  As mistakes are made, students will "magnet down" and consequences will be issued. "Make Better Choices" is a visual warning that consequences will occur. “No Recess” results in the loss of recess that day or the following. “Parent Contact” may be through email, a note, or a phone call. Moving to red may also result in a detention or principal referral depending on the severity of the behavior. Any student moving to orange or red will sign the behavior log and behavior(s) will be documented in their agenda. A parent signature is required if behaviors are documented. It is the student's responsibility to show you their agenda and obtain a signature. No signature = loss of recess minutes the following day.

CLASS V.I.P.

Each day I will select 1 student that had exceptional behavior and great citizenship to be our VIP the following day. He/She will get special privileges for the day. Some of these include sitting in the cool chair in the room and working away from his/her desk at the VIP table.

BUCKET FILLERS

Students fill classmate's buckets when they see random acts of kindness. They write the act of kindness on an index card and place it in the bucket. We celebrate these "Bucket Fillers" at the end of the month.
